Letters From Readers

Letters about Emerson

Wow, what a story. I started reading and couldn't put it down! You kept me interested from the first line on the first page, until the last line on the last page! It was not only interesting but exciting too. Thanks so much for writing this.

Love,

Mary Lou Kristin

Mary Ann, I enjoyed reading your novel 'Emerson' and was pleased when John presented Carol with Prince Alley Em at the close of a very nice story. I'm proud of the job you did and was amazed at your knowledge of horses.  You may remember my equestrian ability maxed out after I finished second on the merry-go-round at Glen Echo amusement park.  But you really know your stuff.

Congratulations on this fine milestone.

Jim Yowell

Hi Mary Ann, I just finished reading Emerson and did not want it to ever end.  It was such a joy and so refreshing considering what is on the market today for best sellers.  It reminds me of the 'Jan Karon' book series, pleasant but realistic.  Yes, I know not all of life ends up happy, but we must escape sometime and somewhere.  You do that by taking the most beautiful creature created by God, the horse, and weaving it into other challenges of life.  Thank you for sharing it.  I look forward to reading another similar adventure.

Sincerely,

Linda S. Ritter

Letters about Prince Alley Em

Dear Mary Ann, I feel privileged to know you.  You explain so clearly and carefully just about everything one should know about the care of horses and a barn and how one learns to ride all the different sports and competitions.  The book is a fantastic fund of knowledge.  It needs an index to help re-find all the subjects you cover.  It is fantastic!

Love,

Carol Ladd

Thank you so much for writing a story about Combined Training.  This is a sport that I am really interested in, and after reading your story, you have led me to try this too.  I also enjoyed the charismatic way that you brought the family and farm personnel together.  Thanks again.  I can't wait to see...What's next???

Sincerely,

Carolyn Murray

Dear Ms. Powell, I loved reading Prince Alley Em.  What a neat story.  You brought in so many things of interest.  I especially enjoyed your explaining the game of Polo and the Miniature horses and Pony Club actions.  You covered everything!  Thank you so much for a great story.

Yours Truly,

Jerry Bass

Letters about Shells Of My Heart

To me, Shells Of My Heart is your best book yet.   An incredibly engrossing story!

Thank you,

What a story.   I could hardly put it down long enough to eat.   Grace kept me spellbound, wondering about her next escapade.

A satisfied reader,

Please keep writing.   Your stories seem to get better and better.   Highly appreciated.
