I thoroughly enjoyed my twenty-five years of teaching English and Theatre.   Working with high school students in those two areas was a great light of my life.   Then, of course, my children, Quentin and Debra, were number one in love and satisfaction.   Now two wonderful grandchildren have been added to my life.   I worked with Mary Ann at Poolesville High School for ten years.   In my theater work, she, ever the artist, assisted the theater students with stage make-up, and assisted with painting scenery.   We were good buddies and had lots of fun.   We both helped with many school functions throughout the years.

One day we were feeling silly so we took over the school public address system and surprised the classes by singing the "Hoochy-Koochy" song, continuing for about five minutes until our new Principal found us!   But even he laughed.   Then once we dressed like teens and took over a cheerleading squad.   Everyone loved that one!

I enjoy singing, and my friends say that I'm good at it.   Mary Ann invited me to go with her to an adult dance, where I was invited to sing with the band and received a standing ovation.   I repeated this visit often.   Several years later, I transferred to another high school because it was so much closer to my home.   I enjoyed five years teaching English and Theater there.   Mary Ann and I remained good friends throughout those years too.   After twenty-five years I retired.   I now live comfortably in sunny Florida, enjoying my grandchildren.   I'm having fun editing Mary Ann's books, while planning an exciting novel of my own.

If you're looking for an editor for your own manuscript or book, please contact me.   I still love doing this!
