After my children grew older, in addition to the farm I was employed in a local high school for twenty-eight years.  Upon retiring I went right into my passion for writing which had been with me since I was a youngster.

Today, I'm the author of two published books - the first is Emerson, an exciting novel based on a true story about a champion open jumper.  The second book, Prince Alley Em, goes into lots of exciting local horse happenings such as Polo, rescue farms, pony clubs and Combined Training.  Both these stories are fiction but based on true experiences, either my own or those of acquaintances.

If you read these books, taking you to Loafing Hills Farm, I believe you'll enjoy the experiences.  Both books feature the Spencer family, set on a horse farm in the foothills of Sugarloaf Mountain in Maryland.

Now Available... A different kind of book, my third... Shells Of My Heart.
